Interior Designer
passionate, fashionista, water fiend, benevolent, determined, unsigned professional vocalist, effervescent, dependable, shopaholic, spontaneous, gym bunny
I was born and raised in the small town of Laurel, Mississippi (yes, the city from the HGTV Hometown series). HGTV is where my passion for interior design began. Instead of watching cartoons as a young girl, I would run home and turn on House Hunters and Property Brothers. The Sims franchise furthered my love for interior design. I would spend my free weekends renovating and redecorating the buildings throughout my virtual neighborhood. I also enjoyed browsing Zillow and reimagining how different spaces could be more aesthetically pleasing and functional. I started wondering how could I use this passion to help others, and the answer was *cue light bulb and dramatic music* interior design! After some research, I knew this was the field for me.
I graduated from Mississippi College and accepted a full-time position as an interior designer in Memphis, Tennessee. During the *whispers* pandemic, I had time to reevaluate both my personal and professional goals. This led me to my new home in Atlanta, Georgia, where I am blessed to be a part of Vickers Design Group. I was drawn to the authentic, intentional, and welcoming environment that radiated from this team.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, pushing myself in the gym, visiting every TJMaxx and Homegoods in a 20-mile radius, organizing my life away, and occasionally taking sloth-like naps.
