Project Highlights

Vickers Design Group worked with the International Union of Operating Engineers to create their new training facility in Cedartown, Georgia.

This project included ground-up construction of the primary building and the rehab of an existing metal building. The new building houses offices, classrooms, and training rooms, while the existing building is used primarily as equipment storage.

Key program elements included a classroom, simulation room, and training/maintenance bay. Pops of red paint were used to highlight exposed metal elements. A “bird’s nest” look-out was incorporated off of the mezzanine in the training bay where the entire training site/fields could be surveyed when giving tours to prospective members and students.
