Project Highlights

Private jet charter company, Wheels Up, created a new Operations Center in the heart of Chamblee. To be near their growing fleet, Wheels Up chose an industrial building located near the Dekalb-Peachtree airport. This single-story, adaptive reuse building previously served as a warehouse, but it is now home to 350 of the company’s schedulers, dispatchers, member services representatives, and meteorologists.

As the Operations Center is open 24/7, the space has extensive security in place. The company is also utilizing top-of-the-line AV equipment throughout the office for monitoring weather conditions and flight schedules.

While subtly hinting at all things aviation and incorporating Wheels Up branding throughout, the design also highlights industrial elements of the building including the original brick, high ceilings, and exposed duct work. The space features a centralized break room contributing to company culture, multiple open and enclosed collaboration areas, and flexible spaces that can be subdivided to serve multiple functions.
