Red Hare Brewing Company is an independent microbrewery located in the heart of Marietta, GA. Expanding on its successful brewery design, Vickers Design Group was charged with  renovating the old Hemingway’s restaurant on Marietta Square to become home to The Still on the Square. With Spanish tile, textured exterior walls and colored awnings, the design team brought a little Spanish style to the southern city. The renovation also added a craft distillery that is the exclusive rum maker for Mojitos Restaurant, located within The Still.

Pontoon Brewing partnered with Vickers Design Group to create the first microbrewery in the City of Sandy Springs. The 12,000-sq. ft. space includes a 10bbl system, associated cooler, lab and storage as well as expansion space for future canning line and barrel aging. The taproom of the brewery is minimalistic and very functional by design. Renovating the existing restrooms in their existing location provided a less expensive alternative to relocation. The open taproom allows for multiple bar locations as well as larger areas for events.

Red Hare Brewing Company is an independent microbrewery located in the heart of Marietta, GA. In August 2011, Red Hare started selling craft beer throughout the state of Georgia and in 2012 became the first Georgia craft brewery to can its beer. Vickers Design Group was charged with helping renovate the existing tasting room to improve the customer experience while enjoying Red Hare. The expansion included a new brew house, lab and 90bbl fermenters, all in a new pre-engineered metal building structure. Another building was added to the rear of the existing building for dry storage. The tasting room was gutted to expose the building structure for a more industrial aesthetic that further complemented the custom-built, reclaimed wood furniture and partitions.

Vickers Design Group partnered with Tin Lizzy’s to renovate one of its locations. The exterior renovations included removing the existing bays of the store front, installing an aluminum garage door to open the space and modifying the existing awnings to create a new feel. Interior modifications included refinishing the hostess area, redesigning and expanding the bar area, simplifying the existing columns, and creating a new back bar to match the Tin Lizzy’s aesthetic.

The Tin Lizzy’s team hired Vickers Design Group to design its first and only ground-up restaurant to date. Using the already established brand as a guideline for design, the design team created a two-story, rustic restaurant with relaxed coastal adobe colors, expansive operable garage doors and a roof-top deck accented by string lights and an open-wood structure to serve its famous “Flex-Mex” offerings.

Southern Proper Hospitality invited Vickers Design Group and Heitler-Houston to design two separate restaurant concepts that share a common kitchen in the upscale, now-called Buckhead Village District. The Southern Gentleman highlights modern touches to a Southern-inspired gastropub specializing in a bar and culinary offering that boasts Southern sophistication.

Vickers Design Group was hired by SweetWater to assist in the redesign and expansion of its Taproom that included a gift shop, a new bar, new furniture and food service with walk-up counter. The design inspiration balances industrial elements with the owner’s love for the outdoors as seen in the use of sealed concrete, glass garage doors, wood and metal accents, live-edge wood tables and pebbles creating a meandering “river” pattern surrounding the bar. With up to 24 beers on tap at one time, Vickers Design Group designed a new easily changeable menu board along with a new custom drink rail centered behind the bar.
