Starting from a very young age, it was very clear to everyone that I was bursting with a passion for art (drawing, painting, sewing, you name it!). Being a Florida girl and having a Gator dad, I knew I wanted to go to the University of Florida and major in something that got my creative gears going. At first, I thought I would major in architecture, but after learning what Interior Design entailed, I knew that was what I wanted to do.
After graduation, I moved to Atlanta to start my career and have been here ever since. I met my now husband in Atlanta and have built a nice little life here. I enjoy working on corporate projects and designing office spaces that not only look great but function well and fulfill our clients’ needs. I have developed a specific interest in space planning and furniture research, and I enjoy learning new things every day. When I am not at work you can find me hanging out with my friends, taking road trips to visit my awesome family (I have my wonderful parents and three younger siblings that I adore!), being active in my church, trying out some new restaurants with my husband, and attempting to explain to people what commercial interior design actually is!

Born and raised in the good ole’ state of North Carolina, I went to University of North Caroline-Greensboro to study studio arts and art history thinking I was going to become an art teacher. Little did I know the Lord had something else in store for me when my roommate transferred into the interior architecture program. The work she brought home every night really caught my interest. I took a huge leap of faith, changed my major, took on two more years of under grad, and never looked back!
I found myself in Atlanta during the height of COVID-19 for a summer internship. The original plan was to return North Carolina. But before I knew it, Atlanta captured my heart, and I knew this is where I wanted to stay and start my career. The job search during a national pandemic did not make for much fun. But I am so grateful that of all the places I could have landed, Vickers Design Group is where I get to be! It is so amazing to be a part of a unique team and to work in such a lively environment. I am encouraged every day to do my best, to continue growing and learning, all while having a good laugh along the way.

After growing up in the Washington, D.C. area, I moved to Alabama to pursue a design program at a top-accredited school and was introduced to a little thing called “college football.” I graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. First hired as a junior designer for Vickers Design Group in 2016, I have been perpetually growing as a thinker and a team member. Through designing millions of square feet, I have found a passion for understanding the sociology of the workplace, balancing form and function, and pushing clients to embrace fun design moments in the office. I joined IIDA early in my career, making great friends and connections, and have loved advocating the value and accreditation of the interior design profession.
I have an equal appreciation for the built environment as I do for the natural one. I have an enthusiasm for all things design, including graphics, museums and stories of revitalization. Away from my desk I enjoy nature trails, mountain trips, puzzles, boutique workout classes, absorbing too much pop culture, and dining al fresco.
